How does it work ?

Shedule may be subject to modifications.

1 – For who ?

No need to be an athlete to participate to La TraverSeine! You just have to be able to swim 25m and plunge, and want to discover the Seine and Paris differently. La TraverSeine is open to everyone from 10 years old with 2 adults, from 12 years old with an adult, from 16 years old alone.

The persons with disabilities can participate with para-Canoë. Please specify it at registration.

2 – Which course ?

You can choose between several courses according to your level and your desire: the 15km Discovery course, for kayaks and SUP, or the Competition courses (26km for kayaks and 15km for SUP).

The 26km Competition course is obligatory for big boats (more than 2 people).

3 – With which boat ?

Alone or with a team, with your own boat or a rented one, La Traverseine is open to all kinds of boats moved with paddle (canoe, kayak, Stand Up Paddle, pirogue, dragon boat).

4 – How to register ?

This year, we are presenting a brand new shop to you! Registration opening date: early June 2023.
Please be lenient if you find some bugs or can’t register in the desired category, we have tested it as much as possible but we may have forgotten some things. If you encounter any difficulties, contact us at inscriptions@traverseine.fr and we will do our best to help you as soon as possible.

New this year! With this brand new shop, you will be able to manage your registration yourself if you want to make changes after payment: change of race category, change in the information provided (participation in the meal for example), or even transfer of registration (attention charged €5 for each transfer) by following this link. Please note that changes are only authorized until September 10, 2022.

5 – Where and when ? 2022 program (Soon the 2023 program)

You will have to collect bibs on Saturday, September 17th 2022 from 11am to 6pm at Parc Nautique de l’Ile de Monsieur at Sèvres if you registered for Competition course 26km. You can take the opportunity to visit the partners village, and participate to the animations.

If you registered for Discovery course, SUP or SUP Competition course 15km, you will have to collect your bib at Port de Bercy on Saturday, September 17th 2022 from 11am to 6pm.

If you rent a kayak or a SUP, you can get them on Sunday, September 18th 2022 starting at 6.45am at Port de Bercy at Paris. Once you have your boat, please follow the instructions of the organization and follow the security rules you will receive.

If you have your own boat, you will have to drop it on Saturday, September 17th 2022 from 10.30am to 6pm:

· For the 15km Discovery course and SUP Competition course, at Port de Bercy at Paris.

· For the 26km Competition course, at Parc Nautique de l’Ile de Monsieur at Sèvres.

6 – How to go there ?

On Sunday morning at 7am, bus will leave from Musée de Sèvres (arrival of all courses of La TraverSeine) to go to Port de Bercy (departure of Discovery course, SUP and SUP Competition courses 15km).

With public transport:

For Discovery departure (Port de Bercy): Metro lines 6 & 14 stop “Bercy” or “Quai de la Gare” (line 6)

For Competition 26km departure, and all courses arrival: Metro line 9 stop “Pont de Sèvres” or Tramway line T2 stop “Musée de Sèvres” (starts at 6am)

7 – Which time ?

7am : boats launching and boarding at Sèvres

7h30 : boats launching and boarding at Bercy

8h : departure of la TraverSeine Competition course 26km

9h : departure of la TraverSeine Discovery, SUP and SUP Competition courses 15km

Hop ! Hop ! Hop ! Go discover the most beautiful city in the world, with your best paddle strokes !

8 – The arrival

The fastest will arrive around 10.30am, but don’t worry, you will have until 11am to leave Paris and until 12.30am to arrive.

If you rent a boat, please go in the indicated zone with the boat.

After taking your snack, you can go to the bar or the shop to buy a souvenir, waiting for podiums.

9 – Podium and lunch

Stay to see (and maybe participate !) to the podium, the lunch will be served at the same time, if you reserved and payed for it at registration

If this regulation is not respected, participant’s responsibility could be committed, the organization’s one could not.

Each participant commits to follow the specific rules of the event by the mere fact of his/her registration, and to respect the navigation code, and to follow the instructions given by the organization when retrieving the bibs.
Acceptance of the current regulation implies that the organization of La TraverSeine can use participant’s picture or video to diffuse them for promotional purposes.
