Become a volunteer for La Traverseine 2020

How does it work ?

1 – For who ?

No need to be an athlete to participate to La TraverSeine! You just have to be able to swim and want to discover the Seine and Paris differently. La TraverSeine is open to everyone from 14 years old (with an adult).

The persons with disabilities can participate with para-Canoë. Please specify it at registration.

2 – Which course ?

You can choose between several courses according to your level and your desire: the 15km Discovery course, for kayaks and SUP, or the Competition courses (26km for kayaks and 15km for SUP).

The 26km Competition course is obligatory for big boats (more than 2 people).

3 – With which boat ?

Alone or with a team, with your own boat or a rented one, La Traverseine is open to all kinds of boats moved with paddle (canoe, kayak, Stand Up Paddle, pirogue, dragon boat).

5 – Where and when ?

You will have to collect bibs on Saturday, September 19th 2020 from 11am to 6.30pm at Parc Nautique de l’Ile de Monsieur at Sèvres. You can take the opportunity to visit the partners village, and participate to the animations.

If you rent a kayak or a SUP, you can get them on Sunday, September 20th 2020 starting at 6.45am at Port de Bercy at Paris. Once you have your boat, please follow the instructions of the organization and follow the security rules you will receive.

If you have your own boat, you will have to drop it on Saturday, September 19th 2020 from 10.30am to 6pm:

·       For the 15km Discovery course and SUP Competition course, at Port de Bercy at Paris.

·       For the 26km Competition course, at Parc Nautique de l’Ile de Monsieur at Sèvres.

6 – Comment s’y rendre ?

Le dimanche matin à 6h30, des navettes partiront devant le Musée de Sèvres (Arrivée de la TraverSeine) jusqu’au Port de Bercy (Départ Loisir de la TraverSeine).

En transports :

Pour le départ Loisir (Paris) : Station de Métro Bercy (ligne 6 & 14) ou Quai de la Gare (Ligne 6)

Pour le départ Compétition, l’arrivée, et le village : Station de Metro Pont de Sèvres (Ligne 9) ou Station de Tramway Musée de Sèvres (T2 à partir de 6h).

7 – A quelle heure ?

7h : mise à l’eau à Sèvres

7h30 : mise à l’eau à Bercy

8h : départ de la TraverSeine Compétition 26km

9h : départ de la TraverSeine Loisir et Compétition paddle 15km

Hop ! Hop ! Hop ! Partez à la découverte de la plus belle ville du monde, avec vos plus beaux coups de pagaies !

8 – L’arrivée

Les plus rapides arriveront dès 10h30, mais pas d’inquiétude vous avez jusqu’à 11h pour sortir de Paris, et jusqu’à 12h30 pour arriver.

Si vous avez loué une embarcation, rendez-vous dans la zone de retour en haut du ponton.

Après avoir pris votre encas, vous pouvez vous rendre au bar ou encore à la boutique pour vous offrir un souvenir, en attendant les podiums.

9 – Remise des prix et repas

Venez assister aux podiums, puis le déjeuner sera servi à ceux ayant réservé leur repas. (En savoir plus).

If this regulation is not respected, participant’s responsibility could be committed, the organization’s one could not.
Each participant commits to follow the specific rules of the event by the mere fact of his/her registration, and to respect the navigation code, and to follow the instructions given by the organization when retrieving the bibs.
Acceptance of the current regulation implies that the organization of La TraverSeine can use participant’s picture or video to diffuse them for promotional purposes.
