You want to participate to the 10th edition of La TraverSeine, which will be held on September 20th and 21th, 2025

How does it work ?

Shedule may be subject to modifications.

1 – For who ?

No need to be an athlete to participate to La TraverSeine! You just have to be able to swim 25m and plunge, and want to discover the Seine and Paris differently. La TraverSeine is open to everyone from 10 years old with 2 adults, from 12 years old with an adult, from 16 years old alone.

The persons with disabilities can participate with para-Canoë. Please specify it at registration.

2 – Which course ?

You can choose between several courses according to your level and your desire: the 15km Discovery course, for kayaks and SUP, or the Competition courses (26km for kayaks and 15km for SUP).

The 26km Competition course is obligatory for big boats (more than 2 people).

3 – With which boat ?

Alone or with a team, with your own boat or a rented one, La Traverseine is open to all kinds of boats moved with paddle (canoe, kayak, Stand Up Paddle, pirogue, dragon boat).

4 – How to register?

Registration opens for 2025: June 8.
If you encounter any difficulties, please contact us via the contact form and we will do our best to help you as quickly as possible.
Regarding teams (2 or more people), please note that 1 team = 1 boat. Please read carefully as the website hosting our store imposes certain restrictions.
You will need to create a team by registering the first teammate and then adding the other person(s) to the team you have created (if you are registering for large boats). The limitation is that you can only create a team in your own name (you will be logged in with your account and will only be prompted to create a team in your name). You can indicate the person who will be the captain. If you wish to register one or more crews that you will not be a member of, you will need to provide the first and last name, date of birth, and email address of the person who will actually be the team captain.

You can register all teammates in a team at once or add teammates later. Simply log in again to complete the registration using the code provided in the confirmation email received after payment.

You can manage your registration yourself if you want to make changes after payment: changes to the information provided (e.g., meal participation), or even registration transfers (please note that each transfer will cost €5). You must use the link and registration code provided in your registration confirmation email.
Please note: changes are only permitted until September 13, 2025.

5 – Where & When? 2025 Program

Bid will be available for collection on Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 10:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Parc Nautique de l’Ile de Monsieur in Sèvres for those registered for the 26km Competition Course and those for the 15km Leisure Course who have rented a kayak or SUP.
You can take the opportunity to visit the village and participate in the activities.

If you are registered for the 15km Leisure Course, SUP, and SUP Competition Course (NOT RENTAL) will be available for collection at the Paris site on Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 10:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

If you rent a kayak or paddleboard, pick up your boats on Sunday, September 21, 2025, starting at 7:00 a.m. at the PARIS site. Once you have collected your boat, follow the organizer’s instructions and observe the safety rules that will be provided to you.

If you have your own boat, you must drop it off on Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 10:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.:

· For the recreational and competition paddle course, at the PARIS site.

· For the 26km competition course, at the Parc Nautique de l’Ile de Monsieur, in Sèvres.

6 – How to go there ?

On Sunday morning at 7am, bus will leave from Musée de Sèvres (arrival of all courses of La TraverSeine) to go to the site of PARIS Bercy (departure of Discovery course, SUP and SUP Competition courses 15km).

With public transport:

For Discovery departure (PARIS BERCY): Metro line 6 stop “quai de la gare” or “bercy” ou line 14 “bercy”

For Competition 26km departure, and all courses arrival: Metro line 9 stop “Pont de Sèvres” or Tramway line T2 stop “Musée de Sèvres” (starts at 6am)

7 – Which time ?

7am-7.45am : boats launching and boarding at Sèvres

7.15am : boats launching and boarding at PARIS Bercy

8h : departure of la TraverSeine Competition course 26km

9h : departure of la TraverSeine Discovery, SUP and SUP Competition courses 15km

8 – The arrival

The fastest will arrive around 10.30am, but don’t worry, you will have until 11am to leave Paris and until 12.30am to arrive.

If you rent a boat, please go in the indicated zone with the boat.

After taking your snack, you can go to the bar or the shop to buy a souvenir, waiting for podiums.

9 – Podium and lunch

Stay to see (and maybe participate !) to the podium, the lunch will be served at the same time, if you reserved and payed for it at registration

If this regulation is not respected, participant’s responsibility could be committed, the organization’s one could not.

Each participant commits to follow the specific rules of the event by the mere fact of his/her registration, and to respect the navigation code, and to follow the instructions given by the organization when retrieving the bibs.
Acceptance of the current regulation implies that the organization of La TraverSeine can use participant’s picture or video to diffuse them for promotional purposes.
